Illumesh® is a patented system designed for the atmospheric illumination and medialization of large facade surfaces.

Illumesh® is based on two central components: light emitting diodes, or LEDs for short, and stainless steel wire mesh. The LEDs are fitted into special round profiles and integrated into a specially woven mounting in front of the stainless steel mesh. At night, the LEDs project a poetic interchange of images and colors on to the shimmering stainless steel surface of the Illumesh® facade. As of a certain size, Illumesh® can also display graphics and text as well as a sophisticated light design. Furthermore, in comparison with conventional illuminations, the costs of light design and energy consumption when using Illumesh® are considerably much lower.

The cooperation between ag4 media facade GmbH and GKD Gebrüder Kufferath AG has resulted in Illumesh®, which combines the mediatectonic conceptual strength and consulting competence of ag4 | media facade GmbH with the shimmering and sophisticated aesthetics of GKD’s stainless steel mesh in architecture.
